The Office of the Deputy Inspector General (ODIG) investigates allegations concerning:

• lapses in employee integrity
• corruption involving employees
• corrupt interference with New York State tax administration by contractors, agents of the Department and external sources interacting with Department employees

Examples of allegations that you should report include:

• bribes or bribery attempts directed at Department employees
• extortion or misuse of position by Department employees
• unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential taxpayer information by Department employees
• misappropriation of state funds by Department employees or agents of the Department for illicit purposes
