Form 1099-G

We are no longer mailing Form 1099-G, Statement for Recipients of State Income Tax Refunds.

For most people, the amount shown on your 2008 Form 1099-G is the same as the 2008 New York State income tax refund you actually received. To find out if you need to report this information on a 2009 federal income tax return, see the instructions for that return, or contact the IRS or a tax preparer.

If you need this information to complete your federal return:

If you call us or try to get your form online and receive a message stating that you don't have a Form 1099-G even though you received a refund, see our more information page to learn why the Form 1099-G amount may differ from your refund amount.
